Editors and Administrators can read messages received on your churches A Church Near You page in the Inbox. The Editor or Administrator of this page will – when logged in – be able to click on the Inbox on the left-hand side menu and then read the messages that have been received. Once read they can be Archived. For Safeguarding and GDPR reasons you are not able to delete any of these messages. Additionally, you are not able to automatically forward this Inbox to another mailbox.
Publishers can’t access the inbox.
When a message is received by the Inbox the email address provided with the Get in Touch info will be notified of the fact that there is an unread message in the Inbox.
Please be aware that any messages sent out by the A Church Near You team will be notified by email to all Editors and the Administrator.
If you wish to reply to the messages you receive, click on the message and then the ‘Email Sender’ box. This will link you to your default email application, enabling you to reply to the message.
If you need help setting this up, please visit the help centre for your current email provider. We have included some links for the main providers below:
Changing your Email Client in Windows 10
Once sent up you can forward or reply to individual messages from your own email provider. If this is not possible then you will need to copy and paste the content into your current email client.
Accessing Inbox on your smartphone
You can also access the Inbox by logging into A Church Near You on your smartphone.
Once logged in to your church page you will see a dashboard with the Inbox in the top left-hand corner. If you click on this, you can then access the Inbox.
If you click on a message you can read it, and then you are given two options: ‘Mark as done and archive’ or ‘Email Sender’.
If you mark the email as done it will be removed from the inbox and moved to the Archive. You can’t delete messages on ACNY. If you click ‘email sender’ you will be able to email the sender using your smartphones own email application.
