The following instructions work on church sites and benefice site.
If you are planning to livestream your service or event, you can provide the link on AChurchNearYou.com in the services and events listing.
Add a livestream link to a new service or event
- Open your church or benefice in editor view, so you can see the editor menu. Show me how.
- In the editor menu, click on services and events then new to create an event.
- Fill in the title, description, date and time of the event.
- Under optional details paste the URL (link) to the livestream event. Please make sure you include "http://www" when pasting the link.
- Click change tags and add the tag livestream so that the event appears on the livestream map.
- Use file attachments to upload any additional documents such as an order or service.
- Click save at the bottom of the page.
- A button with join online will now be visible on the event listing.
Add a livestream link (or video recording link) to an existing service or event
- Open your church or benefice in editor view, so you can see the editor menu. Show me how.
- In the editor menu, click on services and events then the pencil beside the service or event to which you are adding the livestream.
- Under optional details paste the URL (link) to the livestream event where it says livestream URL. Make sure to include "http://www" when pasting the link.
- Click change tags and add the tag livestream so that the event appears on the livestream map.
- Use file attachments to upload any additional documents such as an order or service.
- Click save at the bottom of the page.
- A button with join online will now be visible on the event listing.
How do I find the livestream URL?
Livestreamed events can be scheduled ahead on Facebook and YouTube which provides a URL (link).
This URL is the link that can be shared with your community so that they can watch the live event at the right time.
This link can be pasted into the box marked livestream URL on services and events on AChurchNearYou.com so that viewers can watch the live event on your site.
