The who’s who page on your site provides a space to tell visitors more about key people the life and community at your church or within your benefice. New visitors exploring your site may look here – think about whose information they may be searching for and who they might need to get in contact with.
You must first create your Who's Who page before you can add people to it.
How to create a Who's Who page on your site
- Open your church or benefice in editor view, so you can see the editor menu. Show me how.
- In the editor menu, click on Who’s Who.
- Fill in the form with your page content:
- Title: The title displayed in the visitor menu and on the page. This will automatically be prefilled as Who’s Who, however you can choose your own title for this page.
- Description: Use the optional text box to add additional information for the page. Use a short paragraph to improve readability. Highlight text to open the text format menu and select the chosen formatting to apply it to the highlighted text.
- Click save to start adding people to the page.
How to add a person to your Who's Who page
- Under People, click on Add Person.
- Image: Upload an image of the person. A square image works best.
- Fill in the form with a contact name and title, role, email address and phone number. The first and last name are the only mandatory fields; all other fields are optional.
- Under the Display options you can choose the order in which the people appear on the page. People will be shown in order of lowest to highest number, followed by alphabetically on their last name if order is not given.
- You can also choose to hide the person from the page by checking the Hide Person box.
Once complete, click save at the bottom of the page.
How to edit a person on the Who’s Who page
- Open your church in editor view, so you can see the editor menu. Show me how.
- In the editor menu, click on the Who’s Who page.
- Next to the person you would like to edit, click the Edit button.
- Edit the details on this page and click save at the bottom.
- To view the page edits as a visitor, click on view live at the top of the page to open a new tab.
How to delete a person on the Who’s Who page
- Open your church in editor view, so you can see the editor menu. Show me how.
- In the editor menu, click on the Who’s Who page.
- Next to the person you would like to delete, click the Delete button.
- Confirm delete by clicking yes, I’m sure.
- The person will be permanently deleted and no longer viewable by editors or visitors.
How to hide your Who’s Who page from the navigation menu
If you no longer want the Who's Who page to appear in the side navigation menu for your church, you can choose it hide it from public view.
- Open your church in editor view, so you can see the editor menu. Show me how.
- In the editor menu, click on the Who’s Who page.
- Under the Title and Description section, tick the Hide Page box.
- Then click Save.
