Every church has an inbox on A Church Near You. More than half a million messages are sent by the public each year to churches, asking about life events, church services and events and more.
You are not able to switch off or forward messages received directly to the inbox.
The system has been designed to comply with GDPR requirements and meet our strict confidentiality and safeguarding policies, ensuring that all messages are kept logged against the church so they can be referred to at a future date if required.
Contact email addresses are sometimes changed and not updated on A Church Near You. This means support staff need to manually forward messages from the public to a contact address we hold manually. This takes time and resource and means the message may take a considerable amount of time to be responded to. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.
You can link your current email provider your inbox so you can reply to received messages and forward emails as required. Please check out this help centre article.
