The image gallery on your A Church Near You Page allows you to add up to 20 images that are relevant to the life and work of your church. As with all digital images, when being used publicly please ensure that they meet all Safeguarding and Copyright regulations. (Using professional images without permission of the owner can incur royalty charges and fines. Pictures of children need parental consent. You can read more about that here.
To add or remove images (once logged in) visit your church page and click on the pencil next to the gallery on the left-hand side (this is above the church name). You will see on the right-hand side ‘Manage your gallery’. In this area you can upload images. Follow the instructions on the page.
To delete images, you will see an icon on a bin in the top right-hand corner of each image; just click on this to remove the image. Above this are three horizontal lines; If you click and hold on this you can drag and drop the images into the order that you want them to appear in the gallery.
Please remember to include a description for each image, as this provides information for screen readers used by the visually impaired.
Once you have done this click on the Save button in the bottom right hand corner of the page.
If you find a photo showing on your church's profile, but not in your gallery, then it's likely to be your church's 'building photo', you can find out how to add/remove/change it in this article.
On Mobile: Once you have logged into the church page on your device, click on ‘Add images to your gallery’, then click the ‘+’ to add a new image, as per the instructions on screen.
To edit existing images scroll down to the image you wish to edit, then you can either click the up or down arrow to change the position of the image in the gallery, or the pencil to edit the copy or the image itself, or the trash can to delete it.
When making changes remember to click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the screen.
