We have now introduced three access levels on ACNY to help churches keep their pages up to date:
Administrators can add and edit the content on a church’s page, access the inbox and approve / remove editors and publishers. The administrator is the Incumbent of the church. If you are the incumbent and your request to be an editor has not been automatically approved, this will need to be manually approved. Please contact us through the Editor Help Centre and we can do this for you.
Editors can add and edit the content and access the inbox. Each church can have up to five editors. A request to become an editor will need to be approved by the Incumbent of the church. If the church is in vacancy, we can authorise someone else to be the administrator. This needs to be agreed by the Area Dean. Please contact us through the Editor Help Centre completing the form, including the church’s full name and address, and the reason for wanting to become the editor and the contact details of your Area Dean.
Publishers can change content only and have no access to the Inbox. This means a volunteer can help you keep your page up to date without having safeguarding responsibilities that come with access to your church’s inbox. Each church can have up to five publishers. A request to become a publisher will need to be approved by the Incumbent of the church. If the church is in vacancy, we can authorise someone else to be the administrator. This needs to be agreed by the Area Dean. Please contact us through the Editor Help Centre completing the form, including the church’s full name and address, and the reason for wanting to become the publisher and the contact details of your Area Dean.
